The Italy tour continues! Today I am headed to the medieval city of Siena, which was once the site of the famous Horse Race of Palio!

Can you believe that I have been posting WW photos every week since 2011, and weekly FF photos since 2013?? Will we ever run out? Probably not, although I have received pictures of the same door from different people, taken at different times. My second WW photo posted (after the one of the frog on the Von Duprin lever trim) is one of my favorites because it was part of the early inspiration for a topic that has become an important part of my work – the protection offered by a closed door.
