It might seem like I’m always going on exotic vacations, but last week when I went to Havana, Cuba, for a friend’s wedding was the first time I have gone on a trip without my computer since 2009. That’s 14 YEARS! Often when I am traveling it is business travel or I am working remotely, so being completely disconnected was an unfamiliar but liberating feeling.
The reason I haven’t been away from my computer since 2009 is because that’s the year I started iDigHardware.com. Which means that my 4th baby turns 14 this week! If you have been around long enough to remember Chip Falcon’s Road Trip, that was the first family vacation I shared with the readers of iDigHardware. Since then, I have traveled to more cities and countries than I can count, and I almost always find some interesting doors to share.
Here are some of the doors I saw last week…enjoy!
I love to peek inside if I can do so without being too intrusive…the Moroccan tile drew me in and the guard cat kept a close eye on me:

Regarding the article “Puertas de la Habana” by iDigHardware, it’s fascinating to learn about the unique history and cultural significance of the doors in Havana. It’s amazing how something as simple as a door can carry so much meaning and history. Thanks for sharing this informative and interesting post.
