As I mentioned a few months ago, I’ll be sharing more information about sliding doors here on iDigHardware going forward. In the past, my focus was on swinging doors, but when STANLEY Access Technologies joined the Allegion family of brands, I started to learn more about automatic sliders. I know that many of you also work with these products.
When I was in high school, I worked for a couple of different fast food restaurants and spent plenty of time manning the drive-thru. In recent years, I’ve noticed that the way orders are taken and food delivered in some fast food chains has changed, and STANLEY Access Technologies has developed a new drive-thru window and door called the Dura-Glide DT. This product allows restaurant staff to convert the drive-thru window to a door as needed.
You can read about the DT series in this article by Greg Erickson, or visit the Dura-Glide DT product page for more information.

Hello Lori,
When did Allegion purchase STANLEY Access Technologies? I never knew that would happen. Is Allegion in the service business now? Will Allegion expand into other services other than sliding doors. If you need technicians to partner with I have 100’s of them for Allegion
Hi Steve –
It has been almost a year since the acquisition…I’m not sure if there are plans for offering other services.

You’re right! 🙂
