I saw these beautiful doors and glazed walls in the Mexico City airport last week. While they are gorgeous, this application requires careful attention to the hardware – especially the pivots used to hang the doors. What would you recommend?

Does the wood constitute a projection from the door? Or is it considered part of the door?
Hi Matthew –
If you mean a projection into the clear opening width, I think the measurement would have to be taken from the face of the wood. In the U.S., at least 32 inches of clear opening width would be required, but in Mexico the rules are a little less clear.

I am not in favor of that floor bolt in what appears to be the active leaf. This appears to be the only exit, so, this is worrisome. The restaurant looks large enough to require exit device hardware.
I agree, but the rules are different in Mexico. Even in the U.S., double-cylinder deadbolts are allowed for the main entrance door for certain types of spaces.

Looks like a bonded application of wood panels added to the temp glass doors .and walls Hope they factored in the additional weight ,For the doors ,and they used heavy weight pivots
I hope so too!
