I love this Fixed-it Friday photo – it reminds me of my husband’s efforts to secure one of our doors. Drastic times call for drastic measures.

Guess he didn’t think about the bungee cord solution!
Because no one could ever kick the door in or break any of that glass. Or just jiggle the handle till the jack stand falls over. What a false sense of security.
My favorite part of this is that it almost looks like if the chair were just reversed, the back would keep the handle up, but someone thought, “Pffft. That’s not the right way to do it. Better tape this jack stand to my wife’s favorite kitchen chairs”
Ingenuity the mother of invention .lol

Hi David –
I’m not sure, but if you give the Allegion Canada office a call I’m sure they can help: https://www.allegion.ca/en/home/support/contact-us.html

I guess that’s one way to fix the age-old lever droop problem.
Hope the Mercedes doesn’t get a flat.
Maybe this is shown in the unlatched position. Then it might be an assist device for an incredibly weak person.
