Andy Lindenberg of Allegion sent me today’s Fixed-it Friday photos. Although I’ve seen poorly-placed floor stops with a second stop added later, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a floor-mounted wall stop thrown into the mix!

They likely used the wall stop as a door hold open. When you push the door over the convex stop, it compresses and then springs back and it holds the door from closing.
The wall stop probably worked great for the first few times holding the door open, then the “eraser” wore down enough to stop holding the door? Back to the old wood chock, well I’m sure the local FD will be happy to add to their collection.
Seeing the wall stop an the floor makes me wander if the door went over it to hold it open. If so,i hope it is not a fire door.
I don’t think they have enough floor stops.
How about Fourth time’s a charm including the wooden wedge,,,
Right!

The adjacent wall was so important that they had to make sure the door will not hit the wall and had to use 3 stops.,,,
