Tim Weller of Allegion sent me today’s Fixed-it Friday photo and I’m not sure what to think, between the sensor bar on an inswinging door and the deadbolt that overrides the electrified hardware. And on a door that someone really wants to make sure is locked!
Send me your Frankenstein door photos and I’ll post them here! 😀

What exit device? All I see is a straight pull handle. 🙂
AMAZING…

Hi Mason –

Ahhh. The Securitron TSB. Used this bar a lot back in the day. Oddly, this configuration should work because the bar is touch sensitive anywhere between the end pieces. But Securitron used to sell a TSP (Touch Sense Pull) designed exactly for this purpose. Wonder why they elected to use the TSB in place of a TSP, particularly since the TSP was cheaper.
