I have been on the road conducting training for the last two weeks and I have another week to go before I head home, but one advantage of the travel is that I get to see LOTS of doors (and people too 🙂 ). Today’s Fixed-it Friday photos were taken at the main entrance of a function space that has an occupant load of 600 people. I was so fixated on the creative locking method that I didn’t take a close-up of the closer fix, but the security fix has me wordless.

Wonder what the history/story is in the doors??
Are those exterior doors??
Hi Charles –
I’m not sure what the history is, but yes, they are exterior doors. Pretty fancy.

It looks like that mullion isn’t even affixed fully to the crosshead… maybe they’re banking on the notion that it might somehow take under 15 lbs of pressure for someone to bull rush their way through it and just knock the whole post down?
Maybe so!
