Today’s Wordless Wednesday photos came from Colin Watson of Allegion, who saw this sign in a coffee shop. I guess this is one way to address a non-code-compliant door.

1 sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper…one Sharpie..priceless! And still cheaper than hiring someone to fix it properly!
You had me excited when I saw “FF”. I thought it was time to start the weekend. Thanks for the tease.
I hope there’s a kick-plate on this door.
I know – I blame it on this brain-eating illness I’m experiencing. Sorry!

Love the swift kick ….too bad a lot of things could not get”un stuck” that way .I know I did when my father wanted something .lol.
This reminds me of Carl Dean’s 1-hour course on repairing door hardware. When people would ask if he could do that he’d say “Sure,” take out a piece of paper and write “Please use other door” on it. If pressed further (which most people had the sense not to do) he would further explain how to draw an arrow pointing to the other door…
I miss Carl. And YOU!

During my first job with a distributor I often heard my boss say that we needed to stock left hand and right hand “Use Other Door” signs. Priceless!
