FF: High-Security Louvers

Today’s Fixed-It Friday photos are fabulous!!  Maybe I should add another F.  🙂

These doors were installed in a university classroom building, with louvers instead of glass.  Interesting idea, except that it took the students no time at all to figure out that they could stick a ruler or piece of wire through the louvers and turn the inside lever.  The panels were added to make this a little more challenging.  If the lever is bi-directional I’m sure they will figure out Plan B pretty quickly, but the doors look pretty.

Too cheap to get glass with integral blinds? That’s what I thought it was until I read your description.

College kids are smart… They will figure it out.

Attach electrified cow fence leads to louvers…

Set open box of pizza on floor in front of doors….

I mean really… Who would design security doors like this???

I have a few Plans B already. I am not sure any wood door with a latch should be called high security.
