The base device looks quite similar to a Von Duprin 88. Is that an aftermarket retrofit?

It looks like an 88 to me too. I don’t know if this is commercially available somewhere. The possibility scares me.

Von Duprin used to make a very similar exit alarm with the 88F center case.
