A couple of months ago, I found out that I had received a Legends of the Lock Industry Award, in memory of the late editor-in-chief of Locksmith Ledger, Gale Johnson.  I was sworn to secrecy until the winners were announced earlier this month, and I am so honored to be part of such a diverse group of industry leaders.

The award winners are divided into three categories: Industry Associations, Distributors/Manufacturers and Locksmiths, and I see old friends and colleagues in each group.  But what really brought a little tear to my eye was reading the comments on the LinkedIn post from Allegion US announcing the award.  It was wonderful to hear from so many of the people I’ve known throughout my career – I’m closing in on 40 years in the industry!
