Our live session on access control systems/normal locking arrangements and the requirements for UL 294/UL 1034 listings is next week…there is still time to register and submit your questions! Some of the questions we’ve received so far:
- Which electrified hardware applications require the UL 294 or UL 1034 listings?
- Which components of a system are required by the model codes to be listed?
- What are the special locking arrangements and which code sections apply?
- What are normal locking arrangements and where are they addressed in the codes?
This session will include a short presentation on the code requirements for access control systems (including a recent code change), and information about the required listings for electrified locks in certain applications. We will have plenty of time to answer questions about this topic – I’ll be joined by my colleagues Mark Kuhn and Matt Phillips of Allegion. There will be additional sessions in future months covering other code requirements for electrified hardware.
There is more information about the first session here on the registration page, and you can leave your questions in the comments on this post or in applicable field when you register. See you soon!

Will there be an archived recording available for the webinar?
Yes, there will be a recording available of just the presentation portion for people who want the short version, and also the whole hour with the Q&A.
