It has been a while since my trip to Italy, so I’m living vicariously through a retired AHJ, who never forgets to send me photos of the marvels of creativity that he sees in his travels. 😀

Since it appears to be built on a spring hinge I would consider this a door closer and not a door control device like a common hydraulic closer.
