I love when readers of iDigHardware send me photos of the doors they see as they go about their business, but what I REALLY love is when readers’ spouses, kids, parents, and friends start taking photos of doors! 😀
Today’s Fixed-it Friday photo was sent to me by Jim Overbey of Allegion, but it was taken by his wife at the local gym.
If your friends and relatives are not yet sending me WW and FF photos, it’s never too late!

Ok, I get the medical blue paper pad to buffer the sound (kinda, but we know it COULD be turned off), but the rubber door wedge being taped? I mean, if you’re going to go through the trouble, save yourself some tape and make a pocket for the thing with another blue paper pad and tape–that way you don’t have to get new tape every time you leave the door open (which I’m guessing a fire door, but we’ll give the benefit of the doubt on that part).
Side note: also like the poor handing job… if they had ordered it correctly, people that can only read right side up could read it.
What is wrong with the hardware/ pushbar sticker being upside down and unsafely being prevented from working in a emergency?
That looks “totally” up to code Haha
