I’m constantly learning – every single day. Whether it’s at work, in Spanish class, taking salsa dancing lessons, or learning about parenting from my almost-grown-up kids, learning is what keeps my brain working and engaged. The last thing I want to do is sit back and say, “I’ve learned everything I need to know…it’s time to coast toward retirement.” There are always new things to learn in the door and hardware industry…new products and technologies, new ways of addressing current designs and building practices, and of course, new codes!

- 10:00-11:00am: Accessible Buildings: The Critical Requirements for Clear Width and Maneuvering Clearances
- Although it has been thirty years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) defined what makes for an accessible commercial building, some buildings—especially structures built before 1990—may fall a little short in meeting the clear width and maneuvering clearance requirements for openings. In this session, learn what those requirements are, why they are so important to an individual with disabilities, and how to check and solve for compliance. Jeff Tock, our End User Training Manager, will be your guide.

- Are you new to locks for non-residential buildings? This webinar will provide you a solid foundation, from describing lock functions in terms of how the lock behaves to explaining the difference between function name, ANSI number, and Schlage model number. - New to hollow metal doors & frames? Join us to learn about Steelcraft door types, such as full flush, steel stiffended, temperature rise, and style and rail doors. You will also learn the difference between masonry and dry wall frames, including some application and installation considerations. Leon Starks, Steelcraft Training Manager, will lead this session.

- 2:00-3:00pm Eastern: Door Drills | Maintaining Your Door Closers, Featuring the LCN 4040XP
- This session looks at door closers, one of the essential products in keeping openings safe and secure. Learn common causes and cures for such symptoms as slamming doors, or doors that open too fast, or doors that only partially open, or doors with fluid running down from the closers.

Learn the essentials of each product category or topic so that you can get your footing in this broad and deep industry. Attend as many or as few session in the series as you would like and as your schedule permits.
- 1:00-2:00pm Eastern: Allegion 101. Secure the Door – Von Duprin
- This session will focus on exit hardware, a product category driven by life safety. Learn what makes an exit device an exit device according to building codes and standards. Become familiar with the types of exit hardware, the trims used on the other side of the door, and some commonly-used options that add functionality to an exit device. Featuring the Von Duprin 98/99 Series, this session will also help you wrap your arms around Von Duprin model numbers/nomenclature. Jeff Tock, our End User Training Manager, will be your guide.
