Today’s Wordless Wednesday photo shows a university weight room, where students allegedly “modified” the hardware so that the door would not be lockable. I’m guessing they wanted access after-hours.
My head would explode if I found out my kids were responsible for this kind of damage.
Thank you to Joe Wagoner of The Flying Locksmiths (not responsible for this installation, of course!)!

The beating will commence and will only stop once the guilty admit their culpability.
Not extreme at all.
Typical university “Maroons” once provided deadbolts on university dorm rooms as they complained about unwanted visitors to their rooms after they found out about bypassing the entrance lock . As fast as we put them on they were removing them . We ended up having to order them in with tamper proof screws . But in this case they may have caused damage to a fire barrier door .
That dead bolt is an interesting touch on an exit door.
Wow, I’d be choked if someone did that to my install!
Unless the top latch on the right hand door is detached, it looks like neither door would open whereas the two doors are tied together.
