Many of you have taken the online Decoded series of classes, where I cover an introduction to codes, and the accessibility, egress, and fire door requirements. Because of the prerecorded online format, I can’t offer AIA continuing education credits for these classes.
BUT…my friend Jeff Batick will be teaching Class 1 – Intro to Codes & Accessibility as a live webinar on Tuesday, June 19th – and this webinar will qualify for AIA credits.
There are 2 options: 10 a.m. EDT or 2 p.m. EDT – just click the appropriate link to read more and register.
You need to login or register to bookmark/favorite this content.
Lori – Could you or Jeff please give a brief overview of what the June 19 webinar entails? Codes and accessibility is a pretty big topic! Thanks.
Hi Richard –
The description of the class is on the page linked in the blog post: This course is an introduction to the codes and standards used by the door and hardware industry, and an overview of the accessibility standards for door openings. Accessibility requirements which impact the selection of doors and hardware include clear opening width, opening force, closing speed, the operation of door hardware, and requirements for automatic doors.
Does that help?
– Lori
Yes, thanks!
