Our next live session on the code requirements for electrified hardware is coming up soon – September 15th! There is still time to register and submit your questions!
The September session will focus on the code requirements for Sensor Release and Door Hardware Release of Electrically Locked Egress Doors.
- Have you ever run into misinterpretations in the field related to these two special locking arrangements?
- Do you know which types of locks are typically used in these electrified hardware applications?
- Are you clear on which release methods are required by each code section in order to help ensure free egress?
This session will include a short presentation on the code requirements for these two types of systems (including a recent code change). After the presentation we will have plenty of time to answer questions about this topic – I’ll be joined by my colleagues Mark Kuhn and Don Cherry of Allegion. There will be additional sessions in future months covering other code requirements for electrified hardware.
If you missed the first session, there is a recording and additional information on the Live page of iDigHardware. The registration link for the second session is here, and you can leave your questions in the comments on this post or in applicable field when you register. See you soon!
