Kelly Reese of Allegion sent me this really cool piece of Throw-back Thursday Von Duprin marketing memorabilia from 1932. Aside from a couple of jokes about “wives” that would never fly today (nor should they!), I think it’s interesting to look back at this magazine from almost 100 years ago. There are references to the Great Depression, panning for gold, the safety of air travel vs. train travel…it’s amazing to think that Von Duprin panic hardware was already saving lives back then!

I think I have the concealed rod version of that hardware on one of our older buildings. Definitely no QR codes to directions on the device when you need to make adjustments, you better have some good intuition or memory!
