Some of you will remember Eyal Bedrik of Entry Systems Ltd., who was featured in my “Small World” post way back when this website began. Eyal sent me today’s Wordless Wednesday photo, of a standpipe cabinet that will need to be accessed quickly during a fire (“Now where did I put those keys???”). I guess the firefighters will have their own way to get in.

These boxes are often secured due to theft.
The fire dept carry a universal key … they are called bolt cutters . They simply remove the locks . Then management simply replaces th padlocks .
Interesting handing. Cut the chains on the left and its a RHR. Cut the ones on the Right for LHR.
