Robbie McCabe of Robbie McCabe Consulting sent me today’s Wordless Wednesday photo of a door serving an area under construction. Coincidentally, I just saw a post in a locksmith group on Facebook about these temporary hasps. I don’t know what’s on the other side of the door (is this a required exit??), but the idea of someone using this type of lock – possibly without evaluating the egress path, makes me nervous. How about you?

why do you need this if your lock is in working order? And what is on the other side of the door is this a classroom?
Here is the scary sign
The paper sign next to that door says “Exit this Floor”. The stairs under that paper sign leads me to believe the Exit Discharge is on the other side of that door. Yikes!! I guess the hasp makes the swing of the door less important.
