I have shared Wordless Wednesday photos of antique store exits before, but this time I was the one on an antiquing expedition. As soon as we parked in front of the store I knew I would find some issues:
From the inside, one could argue that this is not a required means of egress…the exit sign has been removed, hopefully with the blessing of the AHJ:
This rear exit was not too bad, in comparison with other areas of the store:
But in one of the back rooms I found what I was looking for – THE Wordless Wednesday holy grail:

Can a motor rip-cord constitute single-motion egress? Probably not…
I think the problem with something like that would be that an AHJ might think it requires special knowledge or effort, and possibly tight grasping/pinching.
