Geometry wasn’t my favorite subject in high school, but I learned enough to know that this closer mounting is not optimal for reliable operation of the door. Thank you to Chuck Gulla of Allegion for today’s Fixed-it Friday photo!

Wait….What??? I’m not a door guy and even I can see how this doesn’t really work well!!! Even the closer on the exterior door closer has been modified!!!
Wow! Usually, when confronted with a butchered up installation, the installer would say that the instructions weren’t in the box. Right. Just like the substituted screws for the closer body.
Can’t recall how many door closures I have seen installed incorrectly and constantly amazed that they actually work. Lol . Some defy all laws physics
