Today’s Fixed-it Friday photo was uploaded by Rebecca Thomson to one of my favorite Facebook pages – Crap Locksmithing. Rebecca posted that this was the result of a school maintenance manager’s attempt to unlock a door that was not on the key system. I think I would have broken the glass, but whatever works.

Probably had tempered glass and it wouldn’t break easily, so plan B was to give the door some character.
We have this tool made by Lockmasters like a slim-jim that you just slip under the door and it reaches up and pulls down the inside lever. Open in 5 seconds.
More like “door picking”
That is slightly better than some people do example:using a hole-saw to remove part of the mortise lock body to defeat the lock which have very few easy fixes this a example of the stuff shown on @badlocksmithing on twitter
This one could easily be hidden with a cylinder protection plate
