Yesterday I told you about some training that’s available either live or on-demand, and today I have even more opportunities to share. Because our team of national trainers is not on the road these days, they have begun offering multiple webinars every Wednesday! Tomorrow’s line-up includes 4 different webinars, with one repeated in the late afternoon for anyone whose time zone makes the morning time-slot inconvenient.
May 20th Webinar Wednesday Live Classes (all times EST) – Click HERE to register for any of the webinars below.
9-10am AND 5-6pm: The Basics of Interlocks
Description: While security interlocks are not common, when they are needed, they are an essential part of a facility’s security plans. If you are not familiar or not comfortable planning for openings with interlocks, this webinar can help.
You’ll learn questions to ask facility personnel to determine how the openings will need to function to meet the security requirements. And, you’ll discover how a set of components work together to achieve the desired functionality.
Jeff Tock, our Allegion End User Training Manager, will lead this session.
11-12pm: Lock Functions
Description: Are you new to locks for non-residential buildings? This webinar will provide you a solid foundation, from describing lock functions in terms of how the lock behaves to explaining the difference between function name, ANSI number, and Schlage model number.
You’ll get the opportunity to practice selecting the best lock function for a particular scenario. Gordon Malczewski, Schlage Training Manager, will be your guide.
1-2pm: Hurricane Hardware Product Testing and Compliance
Description: As codes continue to get more stringent in hurricane-prone areas of the country, products designed for harsh conditions are becoming even more stringent. This session will familiarize you with the terminology used when discussing openings in hurricane zones and will give you an overview of the testing done on these products. You will learn what to look for when choosing the opening products, where to go to find product approvals, and what it takes for these products to be considered compliant.
Leon Starks, our Steelcraft Training Manager, will lead this session.
