A couple of things about this video from PBS News Hour caught my attention.  You may have heard about the proposal for Columbine High School to be torn down – I was very surprised to hear that there is an average of almost 200 attempts for unauthorized people to enter that building each month.  Also – at about the 5:30 mark in the video, it mentions the ability for exterior doors to be unlocked remotely as soon as the dispatch center (with access to the school’s cameras) sees law enforcement officers on scene.  This shaves critical seconds or minutes off the response time.
