Tabor Stride of Commercial Door Company sent me this photo of a Fixed-it Friday door stop. Yes, you are looking at two kitchen sponges wrapped in a washcloth. Whatever works!

At first glance I thought, Oh Good, someone is worried about the door getting damaged, but then I thought about it……I’ll bet you any money that there is a secretary sitting at her desk just inside that door that can’t stand the sound of the door hitting the railing.
We had a secretary in the office of one of our schools that kept complaining that the electric strike on the front door 20 feet away from her desk “Clacked” every time the door opened. We came by every time and slowed the latch speed 1/8 turn until the door stopped latching, then she complained about that.
She also complained that the HVAC was too noisy. Until the technician got tired of hearing about it and turned off the air to the office. 🙂
