I guess it’s a case of “It ain’t what you got, it’s the way that you use it”. Bryan May 9, 2018 at 3:15 pm - Reply The closer in the background of the first pic, under the exit sign, isn’t mounted correctly either. Joel Niemi May 9, 2018 at 3:29 pm - Reply Did Barbie install these for Telekom? and, doesn’t the assembly make a lot of racket as the hinge flexes if/when the closer moves the arm? Eric May 9, 2018 at 7:28 pm - Reply WOW!!!!! Why? I don’t suppose you have a picture with the door closed? Was this because of improper templating? It looks like they mounted it once with the knuckle below the face of the frame and, I’m assuming, they got a surprise when things didn’t go as planned. You can see two screw holes right below the knuckle. Timothy Perry May 9, 2018 at 7:56 pm - Reply Where was this installed? Jess the door closer doctor May 9, 2018 at 8:06 pm - Reply Lol, thanks for the laugh, if I seen this I would be asking the installer what was he thinking or drinking when he installed the closer, now I think I have seen it all! I give him credit for something, he used a piece of door hardware to make a PA bracket! …..now let’s see if the PA bracket is being used as a hinge somewhere…… David Federico May 10, 2018 at 6:58 am - Reply Neccessity is the Mother of invention… especially if you don’t know anything about door hardware. Lol They get a E for Èffort as my History professor would say . Lach May 10, 2018 at 7:58 am - Reply The elusive hinge plate mount. Curtis Meskus May 10, 2018 at 8:44 am - Reply The box of parts and the instructions, who needs stinking instructions? I can look a one that is already installed a few feet away, oh never mind I am blind. Nathan W August 13, 2020 at 2:54 pm - Reply Only problem I see here is that its not a UL listed hinge! Sorry for resurrecting old post, but I needed to share some lightheartedness after getting fired up about the fearmongers selling barricade devices that impede egress. Lori, this is one of my top 10 favorite sites on the whole internet. Keep up the good work! Lori Greene August 17, 2020 at 12:47 pm - Reply WOW!
