WW: Fez Egress

In Fez, we stayed in two riads – beautiful old houses that have been converted to guesthouses.  Check out the stairs…I wouldn’t want to have to get out quickly.  The egress rules are a little different here, which isn’t necessarily bad if it results in a good Wordless Wednesday photo.

We have moved on to Chefchaouen, and I hope to have some photos of beautiful blue doors for you tomorrow.  Here are a few doors from our riad, Casa Perleta.

Another amazing bedroom door…

I love to see doors used as art!

The doors and hardware are beautiful. I’m dizzy just looking at the picture of the stairs!!

I see Phillips screws, some modernity has preceded you.

That particular door is new – most of the doors are ancient. It impresses me that even the new doors are carved and beautiful.

  3. Austin B says:

I think the stairs were designed by M.C. Escher!

  4. Common Tator says:

I have literally had nightmares that involve stairs like that.
