WW: “Leave them LOCKED!”

In case you have a hard time reading the sign on the LHR leaf, it says “Please do not use these doors.  Leave them LOCKED!”  🙁

Egress Door with Surface Bolts

Thank you to Eric Rieckers of Yadon Construction Specialties for the photo, even though it made me sad.  Keep ’em coming!

  1. Jack Ostergaard says:

Also notice the entire catalog collection of surface bolts

    • Lori says:

I did notice that! You’d think they would have put them all on at the same time, and grabbed 4 off the same shelf at Home Depot!

  2. Cda says:

Wonder if there is an exit sign above the door

  3. Jamo Ladd says:

Ah AH So there will be no emergencies

  4. David Barbaree says:

Based on the through bolts showing along the sides, I’m going to guess that this doorway has more money in the hinges than all the locking mechanisms combined.
I would imagine they got the doors swinging and then looked at each other, “Hey, how are we going to keep people from opening these? (finger snap) I’ve got that left over hardware in the back of my truck! I knew it would come in handy someday!” 🙂
