On Thursday, September 14th, Allegion will be offering a free 1-hour webinar on access control hardware – at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eastern.  The webinar offers 1 AIA HSW continuing education unit for AIA members.  You can read more about the webinars and the presenter – Dianne Mancuso, and register here for the 11 a.m. time slot or here for the 2 p.m. time slot.

I recently read a couple of case studies about the use of access control in educational facilities – at the Julliard School and Education First International Language Center.  It’s interesting to see how access control systems can solve other problems within a facility, like scheduling of practice rooms and managing access for transient students.  If you have run into these issues, check out the case studies here:

I would like to register for the 11a.m. slot and am in Canada. The online form will not accept my Postal Code. Am I able to register?

    • Lori says:

      Hi Ken –

Sorry about that! You can just use the zip code for our office – 46032. Let me know if you have trouble.

  2. Dana Hanson says:

the link to the International Language Center case study does not work

  3. Bryant says:

Will these be available to watch after the live presentations?

    • Lori says:

      Hi Bryant –

I checked with our training department, and the recording will be available after the live presentation, but the AIA credits are only awarded for people who participate in the live webinar. I think it’s an AIA rule.

      – Lori
