FF: Quirky Entrance

Category: Doors & Frames,Fixed-it FridayLori @ 10:11 am Comments (6)

I love this door (although I question its structural integrity) – and yes, I have been called quirky a few times.  Why be normal?!  😀

Peter Schifferli found the photo on Imgur and forwarded it to me.

Seen any quirky doors lately?  Send me a photo!

I love this door! It could be an image on a laminate. I’ve seen a wall that I was sure had ridges but, it was a printed laminate.

On a security note, the mailbox may be a bit too close to the handle allowing someone to reach through with a coat hanger or other device and release the lever.

I vote for an abstract painting on a flush door. Illusion is great.

My thoughts are that it is an image applied to the door also, as anybody who would have created that door would have installed the mailbox slot at an angle also. My guess is that the slot was already there and they left it as it was. Very cool door regardless.

All that is missing is the correct address 7⅝ like it could be Hogwarts back door.

  5. Blake Nelson says:

It doesn’t look real to me, like it was Photo Shopped in, or manipulated in with some sort of software. That’s just my opinion. It’s a creative idea though.

  6. Sam Wilson says:

Definitely had to do a double take. Very creative but it looks painted to me.
