When I saw these photos on the Locksmith’s Journal Facebook page, I was wordless. Luckily, I was given permission to share them here! This door looks like it has seen better days. What do you think?

It just passed inspection??? What is the problem Inspector???
Must be door to the laundry area.
I think I see the tape marks where the $20 bill gets placed for inspections…
… laundry area, or a zoo.
Just needs a few minutes on the ol’ door-stretcher to make it right as rain.
And that’s why they call it a Crash Bar. Lol
Direct result of kicking the door open , but based on the edge of the door , this door is at least 30 years old.
I do not think there is a structural paint system that could repair this door – it ts toast! Curious that it even closes and latches – perhaps it does not, but then again it has flexability. The internal door stiffeners are compromised. Time for a new door. Plus it damn ugly. Panic device appears to be in good repair – reuse optional since its a rim device. Thanks Lori – Love your posts.
