WW: Door is Broken

The sad thing about situations like this is that they often stay as-is for YEARS.  In this particular case, the sign appears to be laminated or in a plastic sheet protector.  It doesn’t look like they have any intention of taking care of the problem.  And yes – this is a door in a means of egress – there’s a lighted exit sign above it (you’re going to have to trust me on that).  I know some of you are dying to know what’s broken about this door, but that I can’t answer.

Thanks to GR Zechman of Allegion for today’s Wordless Wednesday photo!

    No no no

Just shut down for the holidays

    So it can be decorated

At least there is a fire extinguisher there so you can fight for your life if you are boxed in to that opening. the “it will never happen to us” attitude is totally insane when it comes to egress and fire doors.

This gave me the idea to start saving all these signs I take off and making a trophy wall for them! 🙂

I would bet that one of the pivots has expired.
