I remember when I started working with LCN, Von Duprin, and GJ, we had big binders of paper templates and I would have to fax the appropriate templates upon request so the doors and frames could be prepped properly (It was a pain!). Now the templates are available online, but apparently sometimes people have trouble finding the correct ones. Case in point, today’s Wordless Wednesday photo from Rit Bellefleur of Accurate Door Services. The door is located in a hockey rink, and it looks like the panic hardware was mounted too close to the door edge because the opening has a removable mullion, so this was the installer’s solution.

Sometimes, you can solve a backset error by using one of the manufacturer’s alternate strikes, but this example of stup… I mean, ingenuity, takes the cake.
2 minutes for slashing!
When no narrow stile panics are on the shelf.
WOW…
VD 22, tech forgot to Turn the Cylinder 90 Deg to allow for the Strike to be installed, Done this many times on Narrow Stile doors to allow for the strike or weather stripping…..
Black duct tape would cover all the sins.
LOL
