FF: Panic Privacy

Gabriel Montoya of Jansen Ornamental Supply sent me today’s Fixed-it Friday photos from his trip to Italy.  This door – yes, with panic hardware – is on a restroom.  The non-code-compliant hook modification solves the privacy problem.  😐

I’m going to Italy this summer and can’t wait to see all of the beautiful doors!  Don’t forget to send me some of the door photos you take on your summer vacation while your spouse and children grumble!  🙂

I beleive this is the Italian interprtation of handicap access/egrsss.
All public toilets in Italy, inluding single use, are equiped with crossbar exit devices with lever trim on the pull side.

I’ve seen this before there… They have all sorts of interesting applications of hardware.
