The loyal readers of iDigHardware include architects and specifiers, contractors, end users, security consultants and integrators, code officials, and members of the door and hardware industry (and probably others, so tell me who you are!).  Each of us has experienced the difficulties that often arise in construction, whether it’s specification issues, coordination of contract documents, product problems, or confusion about materials or methods.

A new blog – LetsFixConstruction.com – was born last August, and aims to help avoid these problems, by educating readers about architecture, construction, codes, specifications, and other related topics.  And today’s post on the blog is my recent post called, “Do I need panic hardware here?”

The site is described this way on the About page….

WHY?

Possessing well over one hundred years of combined experience in all facets of construction, the contributors of ‘Let’s Fix Construction’ demonstrate ‘the way things are supposed to be’ in the construction industry.  It is sometimes too easy to offer complaints without offering solutions and that is why ‘Let’s Fix Construction’ was born.

While we aren’t here to offer solutions to all of the problems you face, we are here to let you know that you aren’t the only one seeing issues in the office or in the field.  We are here to offer our point of view, our thoughts on what we see and perhaps an answer or two along the way that you may be able to good use.

I’m excited to be a contributor to the site!  Check it out – you can subscribe to receive notifications of new posts by email so you don’t miss any!  And if you read a post on iDigHardware and think it should be shared on the ‘Lets Fix Construction’ blog, leave me a comment and I will submit it.
