If you’re a frequent visitor to iDigHardware, you’ve probably heard me talk about the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) and the work of the Codes Government and Industry Affairs (CGIA) committee.  Over the last 20+ years, this committee has been very involved in the code development process, resulting in dozens of important changes to the codes and standards that affect door openings.

There is much more to BHMA, and the organization is now offering a self-paced online course that provides critical insights into performance standards and certification programs for commercial and residential builders hardware.  The course is called An Overview of Architectural Hardware Standards & Product Certification, and it offers continuing education units for various organizations, including AIA.

To access the course, visit AEC Daily’s Learning Center.
