I can hardly believe that my “4th baby” – iDigHardware – is 15 years old.  When I started the site back in 2009, it was a crazy idea born out of desperation.  Business blogging was not a common practice, at least not in the door and hardware industry, but I couldn’t keep up with all of the code questions I was receiving.  By putting the answers out where my clients and coworkers could find them on their own, I hoped to slow the flow of requests.

Well, “the best laid plans of mice and [wo]men often go awry,” as they say.  Although my intended audience was the New England architects and specifiers, news of iDigHardware traveled rapidly across the US the very night that I first mentioned it in a code class.  The flow became a deluge, I now regularly receive code questions from every state, and in last 15 years there have been visitors to the site from virtually every country.  Luckily, I now have the help of the ACE Network (dozens of Allegion Code Experts).

During this milestone year, we will be making some changes to iDigHardware, and I need your help!  I know from experience that change can cause chaos (“What happened to that Decoded article from 2011???”), but after writing 3,500 posts it’s time to do some reorganizing.  Which resources do you use frequently?  What would you like to see added or changed?  What do you love about the site, and what do you struggle with?

This survey will only take about 15 minutes of your time, and I would really appreciate you sharing your insight and feedback!

THANK YOU!!!

P.S. If you have colleagues who read iDigHardware, or who SHOULD read iDigHardware, please share the link to this post and encourage them to take the survey as well!
