This week I’m counting down the days until my holiday break – yesterday I wrote about the ACE Network, which is a fantastic resource!  Today I want to make sure you all know where to find my Decoded articles, which address specific code-related topics in detail.

It’s hard to believe that I have been writing a Decoded article for each issue of Door Security + Safety Magazine for 11 YEARS!  Who knew that I would be able to come up with enough topics to keep me going for that long (and what am I going to write about for the next 11 years?)?  These articles can be really helpful when someone has questions about a specific code requirement – you can just forward the link to the article on that topic, and all of the information is there in one place.

In the January/February issue of Door Security + Safety I will have a feature article addressing some upcoming code changes related to electrified hardware.  Keep an eye out for that, as there are some important proposals that have already been approved for the next edition of the International Building Code.  Some are clarifications that may be helpful right away.
