There are A LOT of Fixed-it Friday doors in Mexico. The other day I was taking a conference call from a quiet corner of the biblioteca (library), and I noticed this arched door leading to the kitchen of the cafe:
Pretty, right? Looking closer, I spotted the classic “too-thick door” deadbolt prep:

And finally, the Fixed-it Friday modification that might be called the GPT – gas power transfer. EEK!

Wow! Love those offset hinges!…and what? No Baldwin or Rocky Mountain hardware and Baldwin Mortise lock with extended thumbturn and spindles?
My old boss in Abbey Locksmith’s in NYC would have scoped it out for that and charge…. hmmmm… maybe 5,or 6 grand. lol.
