On October 23rd, Class 4 of the Decoded series will be presented as a live webinar by Heather Mistele, one of Allegion’s architectural consultants. This class covers the model code requirements related to the seven basic sets of code requirements for electrified hardware: access control/free egress, delayed egress, controlled egress (health care), elevator lobby egress, electromagnetic locks released by a sensor, electromagnetic locks released by door-mounted hardware, and stairwell reentry.
Even with the recent clarifications in the model codes, it can be difficult to keep track of which electrified hardware applications are allowed in which occupancies, where redundant release devices are required, when a fire alarm interface is needed, and how to ensure that all of the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed to avoid problems in the field. This class will help to answer some of those questions.
You can register for the morning session here, or the afternoon session here. This webinar is eligible for AIA Health, Safety, and Wellness (HSW) credit.

Hi Heather:
I am very interested in attending your class, but I am traveling on Tuesday Oct 23rd. Is there any chance I could get a recording of this class. Or could you let me know when your are doing it again.
Sincerely
Rudy Armitage

Hi Rudy –
There is a recorded version of the class here: https://idighardware.com/decoded-course/, but I think that the AIA credit is only available for the live version because of the AIA procedures.

Lori
You are correct. AIA CEU credit is only available by attending the full webinar tomorrow.
Thanks Cheri!
