Technically these classroom doors were probably decorated for Veterans Day but they’re the most patriotic doors I could find.  What do you think…code-compliant or not?

For all of iDigHardware’s US readers – enjoy the Independence Day celebrations!

Unfortunately I don’t know which teacher(s) to credit for these photos, which I found floating around without sources attached.

well … they don’t seem to blend in with the adjacent walls, so at least they don’t hide the exit locations

  2. Louise says:

Not all doors with exit devices and closers are fire doors, although I suspect these are.
    But, I do like the.
I’ve always had a poppy on my car’s dash to remind me.
Anyone else remember when Veterans sold paper poppies as fundraisers?

    Happy 4th to you too
And special thank you to all those who serve and have served to give us such a great country that we have.

I’d be more concerned that I’d be slamming into that soldier’s crotch every time I needed the panic hardware…

Not code compliant – flammable covering on the door. Local schools get busted for this sort of thing all the time.
