This is not the first time I’ve seen this problem, but this is a pretty labor-intensive solution. Hopefully this wall is not a fire barrier.

I’m pretty sure that the power cord from the transformer/wall wart passing thru the drywall is against code anyways.
This is the worst way to mount a surface closer if you want the door to self close self latch. And this looks like a TOTAL Door set up, Total Doors are meant to stay held open on mag holders and close once or twice in there life time not to be used as a daily door.
