Tony Calistro of Ring’s End sent me these photos of some beautiful doors at a college entrance – 4 inches thick and over 100 years old. Amazing, right??
It’s too bad someone at this facility didn’t ask for help BEFORE coming up with these Fixed-it Friday locking solutions. 🙁

gasp!
I know exactly where those doors are. 😉 Gorgeous place too. Too bad they did this.
Noooo!!
More proof that there are morons lose in the world.
the problem with Big Box stores they will sell this to anyone
The Phillips head screws in the escutcheon indicate someone worked on this lock after 1936 and probably fitted a bit key to it. Too bad nobody took the time to find it or had yet another made! Absolutely horrific butchering of these fine old doors!
