Thank you to Brendan Daley for this Fixed-it Friday photo.  I could fix this pretty quickly with a set of bolt cutters.

    I wonder what their insurance company’s “Loss Prevention Representative” would have to say about this??? Or maybe the local Fire Marshall should take a look. Why does it take a tragedy for people to use common sense.

    Judging by the padlocks that is in a school.
    I would be torn whether to cut the chain into little bits and drop them on the desk of the person responsible along with a lecture on Fire Safety, or to leave it in place and phone the Fire Marshal.
    (Who probably has a more effective spiel than I do!)
