I don’t like to be critical of peoples’ work, but this Fixed-it Friday retrofit could use a little TLC.
Thank you to Deputy Jeff Tock of Allegion for thinking of me whenever he sees a problematic door. 😉

How does that door close? Wow!
Right?! It must have a giant gap!

Just ??????????????????????? This looks more like a W W photo to me. I can’t even begin to understand the logic here. It appears to be about 1 3/4 thick with the wood beside the bolt faceplate, but it also has glass in the bottom half of the door. If you want to keep this as a F F post, you need to redefine what the first F is. Six munce ago he couldn’t even spell teknissun and now he iss won. Too bad it’s a sliding door !!!
There pry using the wrap around to either cover an existing prep hole, or act as a latch protector. It appears the door has been shaved down at the lock edge if you look below. Obviously money was an issue when contemplating this fix…. Hence the Kwikset. Also, it looks like they used tin snips to cut out that wrap around plate.LMAO

Definitely a WW post except that so many words come to mind.
How about the wall of shame.
