If you’re not familiar with ENGAGE technology, the video below explains how it works (or you can view a shorter introduction here, an NDE installation video here, and videos about NDE programming here):
There’s a product tour and lots of other information about the Schlage NDE available on the Allegion website, or you can contact the NDE team by clicking here if you have questions.
Don’t forget to vote!
I just posted A LOT of new Allegion job openings in the right sidebar, including some positions for sales apprentices and specwriter apprentices. Know any recent college grads (or soon-to-be) who might be interested in our apprentice programs? —>

This unit is self powered?
It requires 4 AA batteries and has a battery life of up to two years under normal usage.
Lori,
Do you have any thoughts or comments about the usage of this lockset on classroom corridor doors in lieu of a classroom security lock. The doors are self-closing as well as self-latching. They will be used as online locks with a gateway and access control system.
Thank you.
My door is less than 1&5/8 inches thick. Instructions say that I need a shim- will they send that out or is that something I can get at a hardware store?
Hi Matt –
I don’t know if the shim automatically comes with the lock, but you can send an email to tech support here: electronic_lock@techprodsupport@allegion.com.
