Sorry I missed yesterday’s blog post!  The 7+ feet of snow that has buried us since January resulted in water coming in through my roof and out through a light fixture, so I had no electricity and no internet for a while.  🙁

Today’s Fixed-it Friday photo from an anonymous friend is a classic example of the coordination problems that can so easily arise when doors, frame, and hardware from multiple vendors arrive on the job-site.

Power Transfer Problem

In case you’re not sure what you’re looking at, it’s a frame prepared for an electric power transfer (the door is not), and a door prepped for a thru-wire hinge (the frame is not).  The purpose of these 2 products is to transfer wires from the wall and frame into the door for electrified hardware mounted on the door.
